Mark + Jessica Wedding Short Film

It’s great to see good friends getting married.

I had never visited Salem Oregon before, and a road trip means, bring your camera along. I never thought I would end up using it to do this.

Mark and Jessica never asked me to do a video for them, and I wasn’t planning to either. I was just a guest. All I was planning on doing was to take some photos of my trip, but when I arrived to the location, I couldn’t help but try and do a short film for them. Every other guest had a photo camera, I was in a unique position to give Mark and Jessica something more.

Sure, I wish I had a crew with me, or more equipment such as a tripod, or a monopod. Definitely and audio recorder, but sometimes you realize that a story can be powerful enough to not be drowned behind the lack of technical instruments. I did this video before FlyFeNniX Productions was created, but I consider it the birth of the idea for which we now aim for as a company. The idea that it’s about the people getting married and their story. Not just about getting a video of highlights of a day, but to tell a unique story behind one of the most memorable days a couple will share. This wedding was an inspiration for me to tell these stories. This was the beginning of FlyFeNniX Weddings.
