Daniel + Lucinda Wedding Photos

April was a little bit of a blur. We had most of our weekends filled with meetings, shoots, and events. Among the madness, we had the privilege of shooting Daniel and Lucinda’s wedding. I remember liking this couple right off the bat, when we first met up for coffee months ago. Lucinda is incredibly personable, constantly smiling, and has a way of making the people around her laugh and feel comfortable. I knew I’d like working with Daniel as well when I found out we had both just finished Haruki Murakami’s most recent novel. I may have been ten times more excited about that than he was, but I have to admit I do freak out a little bit whenever I meet someone whose read Murakami.

The day before the wedding we went to scout out the church in Culver City (right next to the beautiful Columbia Pictures Studios). St. Augustine’s is a gorgeous venue, and I began to really get excited about shooting in a big Catholic church (a first, for me personally.) After exploring the church, and our designated photo shoot location by the harbor, we (in a very roundabout way) found ourselves at Father’s Office in Santa Monica. (For the best burgers you will ever eat. Just for the record.)

Early Saturday morning we headed to the hotel and began snapping some photos of Lucinda and her bridesmaids getting ready. I have to say, Lucinda was extremely calm and collected the morning of her wedding. By the time she had her dress on, she was absolutely glowing! I remember as we sat in the limo on the way to the church, I asked her when she first knew she wanted to marry Daniel. She smiled and said, “It was pretty quick, not too long after we met I knew he was the one.” They are a perfect match for one another, and I’m so happy to have gotten to know them.

Congrats, Daniel and Lucinda!
